Welcome to Mosscrag Guest House
Mark and April would like to welcome you to our family run Guest House. We are located in the centre of Glenridding alongside Glenridding Beck, situated at the Southern tip of Ullswater - the second largest Lake in the Lake District.
Mosscrag Guest House has history as both a private dwelling and a Bed and Breakfast since 1914. Mosscrag makes an ideal base for exploring the local area, as well as the wider Lake District including major attractions, towns and villages of the Lake District National Park, such as Windermere, Bowness and Keswick.
We are surrounded by the Lake District Fells which include the famous Helvellyn and Striding Edge along with The Fairfield Horseshoe, St Sundays Crag and High Street to name but a few. We are very close to the shores of Ullswater where there is the opportunity to fish, sail, and canoe or windsurf. You can sail with the Ullswater Steamers to Howtown and walk the classic seven mile scenic walk back via Patterdale to Glenridding, alternatively sail to Pooley Bridge at the North of the lake and have lunch in one of a number of Hotels, Pubs and Cafes.
Additional facilities
We have a licensed bar for the sole use of guests. We also have a library with a wide variety of Fiction and Non-fiction books, as well as a travel section for local and International travel.
Mosscrag also offers Wi-Fi to all guests, free of charge.
Enjoy your stay!
